Is EzineArticles Dofollow?
Ezinearticles.com is the largest article directory in the world, it is also the most popular, the most respected and the highest page ranked of them all.
Most internet marketer worth their salt are avid users and followers of Ezine articles and when you add an article there the chances are that it will more than likely rate well and rank fast in the search engines, such is the respect that Ezinearticles.com carries.
It's the one article directory most people would recommend on the sheer volume of click throughs you get i.e The number of people that read your article and thus click on your profile resource link through to your site.
So we know it is good for traffic, but the question is - Is Ezinearticles Nofollow?
Rumors
Lately there have been rumors that this popular directory is nofollow enabled and doesn't follow links, so I thought I'd find out for sure and write an article about it with the results.
The first thing I thought was that ezinearticles couldn't possibly be nofollow, otherwise why would so many knowledgeable authors submit their works there?
But then I was reminded of wetpaint that just recently has been shown to be nofollow leaving a lot of experienced marketers wondering why they hadn't checked using their nofollow finder attachments.
I myself was embarrassed because I had reccommended Wetpaint to people as a good source of dofollow links. DUH!
Turned out like an idiot I'd been giving Wetpaint free, unique content and not getting anything back for the effort - No links, which sucked because I wasn't getting a single click through from any of the articles.
Until I took them out of wetpaint and put them in a better resource.
So I turned on my link checker and browsed Ezinarticles and the results were....
...Dofollow!
Yep, no surprises here, if you add articles to ezinearticle.com you wont be disappointed, in fairness even if it was nofollow it would still be a good source of traffic as it really does get good traffic for authors.
In Conclusion
So go ahead and use that site freely in the knowledge that your links will get full value.
Be aware of sites that might be nofollow directory type sites and think about whether your hard work inspired articles would be better served in a dofollow, high pr information resource (like Ezine articles).
