Being creative can help you to realize your full potential as you aim for intellectual enhancement.

By utilizing our ability to create and discover new things we can in turn, exercise our creative powers and build a more complete mind.

Many intelligent people who wish to better their cerebral capacity opt to use the "books and puzzles" approach to increasing their brain power, by doing this they often overlook the wonderful benefits of being creative and using creativity to build a well rounded mental strength.

Beating Old Stereotypes

The stereotypical intellectual type is often quick to snub their nose at the thought that alternatives exist to building intelligence other than the mainstream of books and puzzles.

Creativity lets you access parts of the brain that you may not be using - Now wouldn't any person wanting to increase their intelligence be interested in accessing new areas of the brain?

Intellectual Snobbery

So why the snub? - Artistic pursuits were not as socially acceptable in the past as they are now starting to become.

A Doctor, a Lawyer or a Businessman may very well have appreciated good art, however the thought of attempting such works themselves would have being greeted with contemptuous disbelief.

Nowadays, the affects of using many areas of the brain are better known than they once were and many people who seek to use their "maximum capacity" are being more creative and indeed building a level of all round intelligence that has not been seen before.

All Round Intelligence

You can't be complete without creativity . You must get in touch with your innovative side, so if you wish to improve your "total" cerebral self then get out the paint brush, the pastels or the clay. If you mean to link creativity to intelligence, then try to access your own creative intellect as a point of reference.

Some of the positive effects of creativity are:

*Increased Ability In The Area Of Divergent Thinking

*Better Social Interactions

*Increased Activity In The Frontal Lobe

*Wide Scope Interpretation

These are just some and there are many side benefits of harnessing creativity.

The Right Activity For You

Some of the creative things you may wish to attempt could be:

*Painting

*Sculpture

*Music

*Poetry

*Writing

*Drawing

*Composing

But you can pick which interests you the most.

The solution to building intelligence is utilizing the brain and exercising you mind frequently and by adding creativity to the mix, you will increase your intellectual capacity and reap the benefits that having a rounded mind will bring.

In conclusion

Creativity should be a fun endeavor and it's up to you to find the activities that you enjoy the most. Get excited and get stuck in to your next masterpiece knowing that you will create something special both externally and internally.

Good luck and most of all have fun.
